Last month I had been teaching among my company fitness classes, and I has been demonstrating a reverse lunge towards the class, while holding a kettle bell. One of the members asked me exactly what the purpose has been of me personally holding the actual kettle bell? Instead of entering a long-winded argument about the importance of weight training, I gave the woman's a very simple answer about how holding a weight raises the difficulty stage, forces your muscles to work harder, forces your balance to come directly into play and how it works your core (people like that).
